| | I think that the right age to own a cellphone is when a person can be able to pay for it. I believe that parents should not give mobile phones to their children except when they can pay for it themselves. I don't go with the reason of keeping tract where they are. I am a parent to two school children. I didn't buy them a mobile phone but I know there whereabouts. | | | | | | |

| | Now-a-days children are far smarter than what we were in our childhood. Further the child is attending lot of classes like dance, music, karathe, computer and it is easy for the parent to communicate with children if mobile is at their disposal. Parent can keep a track of her/his child in many ways. So, in my opinion, 12 years is the right age to own a mobile. | | | | | | |

| | I think the right age to own a cellphone is around 10-12 years. I got my cell phone when I was 10. It was much easier for my parents to know where I was because I had english lessons, ballet, tennis and other activities. I didn't bring it to school though. It's a dangerous age right now and children going somewhere alone without a device to help their parents reach them is risky. I know I'm going to buy my child a cell phone when they turn that age. | | | | | | |

| | Children have to be taught to be responsible. Sometimes with families leading active lives that's not always easy. I think once a kid starts driving 15 0-16 then they should have a cell phone. And, to help teach responsibility for children who recieve phones much younger then that, safeguards, and tools are aviable to prevent children frm running up their parents' phone bill. That's why parents' often put their children on their account and put restrictions on the phones to prevent unexpected suprises. | | | | | | |

| | beh may be even younger than 18 can be ok having a cellphone!!surely it depends from teenager as well!!so i think that if parnts will give a cellphones to their children which they are oo much young normally a cellphone should become a toys and not really a facility to communicate but i think a teenager about 16-17 is the right age to have a cellphone as well.. | | | | | | |

| | I had my cellphone when i was already working. It was a birthday gift to myself. LOL Personally i will provide my daughter a cell phone only when she enters college. Giving it when she is still in high school is too early for me. She is to be mature and responsible enough before she owns one so that it will not be put to misuse. | | | | | | |
